Amuse-Bouche

Art Tooth, is pleased to present our organization’s first show, Amuse-Bouche, a group exhibition at Gallery 76102 featuring artists Sheryl Anaya, Chuck & George, Erika Duque, Dannie Liebergot, Shelby Orr, and Tiffany Wolf. The show will include painting, sculpture, photography and site-specific installation. Come get a taste of our inaugural season!
Brian K Scott and Brian K Jones joined artistic forces and created “Chuck & George” in 1990 at the University of North Texas in Denton. The duo eventually found their way to the Oak Cliff area of Dallas in 1996 where they continue to cohabitate and collaborate . “The Brians” and Chuck & George have been part of the Dallas/Fort Worth arts scene for decades including the 500X, Gray Matters, Mighty Fine Arts, The Conduit, The MAC, RO2 Arts, CentralTrak and occasionally the Webb Gallery in Waxahachie. They have maintained and operated the Oak Cliff Visual SpeedBump Art Tour since 2000. Their small home is their largest running collaboration and has been described as a “rave for your eyeballs”.
Erika Duque was born in Flushing, Queens, New York in 1987. She moved to Texas in 2005 and currently lives and works in Fort Worth, TX. She graduated with a Bachelors in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Drawing and Painting from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She is currently a Masters in Fine Arts candidate at Texas Christian University and is expected to graduate in 2018. Erika’s most notable exhibitions were at the Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas, TX for Fountainhead; a large format book including 30 national and international artists.
Dannie Liebergot is a visual artist who lives and works in Fort Worth, Texas. She completed her BFA in photography at the University of North Texas in 2015 studying under Dornith Doherty, Paho Mann, and Pavel Romaniko. Liebergot has participated in national and international exhibitions, including showings with Listhús Artspace in Iceland and the Holly Johnson Gallery in Dallas. She is one of the four recipients of the 2016 Clare Hart DeGolyer Memorial Fund from the Dallas Museum of Art
Shelby Orr is an artist based in Fort Worth, Texas working in photography, video, and sound. Her work has been shown at The Masur Museum, Houston Center for Photography, Spiva Center for the Arts, and, as a finalist for the 8th Edition of the Julia Margaret Cameron Award, is included in the 2016 Berlin Foto Biennale. She is currently creating work for a new series at CentralTrak: The UT Dallas Artists Residency. Along with her photographic and video work, Orr writes and performs sound compositions and is one-half of the electronic music duo KITBASHES.
Sheryl Anaya is a Puerto Rican artist who currently resides in Dallas, Texas. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Texas Woman’s University in 2013. Sheryl is currently a member and president of 500X Gallery and has exhibited in venues such as The MAC, Oil and Cotton, the Latino Cultural Center, K Space Contemporary, Rockport Center for the Arts, and Washington Street Art Center. Sheryl is also the editorial assistant of Light Leaked, an online photography magazine that creates dialogue about photographic creation, both conceptually and in business.
Tiffany Wolf Smith was born in 1982 in San Angelo, TX. Her parents are humanitarian workers and Tiffany spent her early years growing up in the Philippines. Tiffany received a BFA from Texas Christian University with any emphasis in sculpture in 2005 and an MFA from Southern Methodist University in 2008. From 2008 – 2012, she was an active member of 500X, an artist co-op in Dallas, Texas. She is also a founding member of the Fort Worth-based artist collective, HOMECOMING! Committee. Tiffany currently lives and works in Fort Worth, Texas.
